TN Note: The Police State and Total Surveillance Society are joined at the hip. Automated police robots are currently only used as threat assessment and surveillance collection devices, but there will be a time when force/intervention features will be added. These robots are driven by AI, of course, and communicate everything the see, hear and think back to a central computer for analysis. This is a bad trend but one that will greatly further the aspirations of technocrats everywhere.
The robots might one day rise up and take over, but a Palo Alto startup called Knightscope has developed a fleet of crime-fighting machinery it hopes to keep us safe.
Knightscope’s K5 security bots resemble a mix between R2D2 and a Dalek from Doctor Who – and the system behind these bots is a bit Orwellian. The K5’s have broadcasting and sophisticated monitoring capabilities to keep public spaces in check as they rove through open areas, halls and corridors for suspicious activity.
The units upload what they see to a backend security network using 360-degree high-definition and low-light infrared cameras and a built-in microphone can be used to communicate with passersby. An audio event detection system can also pick up on activities like breaking glass and send an alert to the system as well.
Malls and office buildings are also starting to employ the K5 units as security assistants. Knightscope couldn’t name names, but tells TechCrunch the robots are being used at a number of tech companies and a mall in Silicon Valley at the moment.
CEO Stacey Dean Stephens, a former law enforcement agent, came up with the idea to build a predictive network to prevent crime using robots. He and his co-founder William Li have raised close to $12 million in funding so far from Konica Minolta and others to build on the idea.
While Knightscope doesn’t think its robots will replace mall cops or security guards in the near future, the company does see them as assistants to human security teams. The startup currently rents each five-foot, 300-pound K5 unit out for $6.25 per hour (or less than minimum wage). However, teenagers or others tempted to kick or push the robots over may be shocked to find the robots can talk back to them, capture their behavior on film and alert authorities behind the scenes as well.
Just this morning, I received a call from the National Rifle Assocition (NRA) asking for my support to protect assaults on the second amendment of the US Constitution.
Efforts to silence Halbig were launched by plain clothes sheriff detectives from Lake County, Florida who visited him in December, 2012.
Citing no authority, they threatened him with criminal charges out of Connecticut if he didn’t stop “harassing” public officials with repeated phone calls and FOIA requests.
Halbig is demanding subpeona and/or arrest of leaders involved in Sandy Hook based on questions that reveal serious transgressions of procedure, ethics and law.
His FACEBOOK PAGE is a platform for pubic exchange with more questions raised every day.
Halbig: I must share with you that I pray to God everyday for the sake of my grandchildren that I am wrong about the Sandy Hook School Shooting Massacre on Dec 14, 2012.
But when you have two plain cloth Homicide Detectives show up at my home and threatend me by telling me that the CT State Police will have me arrested if I do not stop asking questions about the Sandy Hook Shooting it changed everything for me and my family.
Once we get the truth about just the first 16 questions I will go away and live out my retirement in peace.
They started it. As they say let the game begin.
Feb 25, 2014 – Good morning everyone and now lets look at two more huge questions that hopefully someone helping to solve this puzzle might have. If you do please let me and all of us know. You must stay focused on the 16 questions not 911 or Boston that is what they the government is counting on. They want this country to be fragmented because if they can keep us divided then they control us.
Sandy Hook Justice Puzzle – 16 simple questions ever changing that MUST require an answer.
Please stay focused on the first 16 questions then we go to the next ten questions and then we go to the videos and police reports.
1. Who directed the New Haven FBI field offices to classify the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting on Dec 14, 2012?
2. Why and for what reason would the FBI classify the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting when they did not classify the Columbine shooting which also was a Mass casualty shooting incident?
3. Who on Dec 14, 2012 was the Incident Commander as required by the Federal Emergency Management Administration in directing the Mass Casualty Shooting Incident at the Sandy Hook Elementary School?
• Who on Dec 14, 2012 at the Incident Command Center made the ordering of Porta Potties a high priority since they were delivered within 3 hours of the school shooting? Never ever heard off.
• Who ordered those Port Potties from Southbury, Ct?
• When I called the Porta Pottie Company after searching for over a week as to who and when they were ordered I was told that it is classified and they are not allowed to share that information with me.
• The next morning I received a phone call from the Southbury Police Department at my home telling me not to call that company again since I was harassing them.
• High priority for toilets but not for Life Star Trauma helicopters or paramedics.
4. Who and Why did they not request the Life Star Helicopters knowing that children and school staff are seriously injured and clinging to life?
5. Who and Why did they not allow the Paramedics and the EMT’S inside the Sandy Hook School to treat the seriously injured or those children and school staff clinging to life?
6. Who declared all 18 children and six school staff members legally dead within the first 8 minutes?
7. Who was the Certified Environmental Bio-Hazard Decontamination company contracted by the Newtown Public Schools to remove 45-65 gallons of blood, skull fragments, brain tissues, bodily fluids, blood soaked carpets and any other decontaminated are a inside the Sandy Hook School?
8. Why does an off duty Lt from the Newtown Police Department refuse to leave his off duty work assignment at a construction site on Dec 14, 2012 when hearing that shots have been fired at the Sandy Hook Elementary School?
9. Who at the Newtown Public Schools notified all of the parents in writing as required by CT law that had children attending the Sandy Hook Elementary School as well as every school staff member every school year of all the potential life threatening chemical hazards. The school had high levels of lead paint throughout the entire school, Asbestos in the ceiling time and floor tile, asbestos in the insulation and most of all the school had very high levels of PCB?
10. Who provided the urgent medical care to the two children who were not transported to the Danbury Trauma Center until an hour after the school was deemed safe for that 15-mile drive?
11. Who treated those two children who had been shot multiple times like three to 11 times since they did not allow the paramedics and EMT’S inside the Sandy Hook Elementary School?
12. Why did the parents of the two children who died at the Danbury hospital not allow their children to donate their organs to other children waiting for the gift of life?
13. What happened to the 500 children and 60 school staff members from Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec 14, 2012?
14. Who was the police officer calling into the Newtown Police dispatcher stating in his words that he has multiple weapons, he has a rifle and a shotgun and who has the rifle and the shotgun as the chain of evidence should show that was found in classroom eight (8)?
15. Why would a police officer by the name of Lt Vangehle at 9:45:21 am on Dec 14, 2012 from the Newtown Police Department after finding a kindergarten female child in the hallway make her go into room eight (8) and leave her? Room eight is a gruesome crime scene with dead children and school staff. Why?
16. Why would two CT State Troopers enter room ten (10) at 9:55:31 am on Dec 14, 2012 which is a gruesome crime scene with dead bodies of children and school staff and tell a kindergarten boy who they find in the bathroom who’s name is redacted and tell them so it must be more than one to stay and they will be both back when it is safe?
Please all focus on those 16 questions then we will move to the next ten questions.
(l. It’s a battle to get GMO labels, but kosher no problem.)
A reader believes that the public is
subsidizing orthodox Jewish institutions by
the fee manufacturers pay for the
kosher symbol, which is meaningless
and constitutes a tax.
Orthodox Jews make up 50% of British Jews (150,000), 25% of Israeli Jews (1,500,000) and 13% of American Jews (529,000.) Most secular Jews dislike them and are not kosher. Where does this minority within a minority get the power to intimate big corporations and government, which should outlaw this racket?
by Ronald Smith – Via henrymakow.com
In 1987, Rabbi Schulem Rubin, an Orthodox rabbi from the Bronx said: “Kosher doesn’t taste any better; kosher isn’t healthier; kosher doesn’t have less salmonella. You [cannot] eat a Holly Farm chicken which sells for 39 cents a pound on sale, and next taste a Kosher chicken selling for $1.69 a pound, and tell the difference. There’s a lot of money to be made! ”
According to a 2002 article in La Voz de Aztlan , “Major food companies throughout America actually pay a Jewish Tax [to Rabbinical Councils] amounting to hundreds of million of dollars per year in order to receive protection. This hidden tax gets passed, of course, to all non-Jewish consumers of the products. The scam is to coerce the companies to pay up or suffer the consequences of a Jewish boycott. Jewish consumers have learned not to buy any kitchen product that does not have the (U) the (K) and other similar markings…
“It is estimated that the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations, which manages the (U) symbol protection racket, controls about 85% of the “Kosher Nostra ” certification business. They now employ about 1200 Rabbi agents that are spread through out the U.S. Food companies must first pay an exorbitant application fee and than a large annual fee for the use of the (U) copyright symbol. Secondly, the companies must pay separate fees each time a team of Rabbis shows up to “inspect” the company’s operations. Certain food companies are required to hire Rabbis full time at very lucrative salaries…
The amount of money that the non-Jewish consumer has paid the food companies to make up for the hidden Jewish Tax is unknown, but it is estimated to be in the billions since the scam first started. The Orthodox Jewish Councils as well as the food companies keep the amount of the fees very secret.”
The Bnai Brith ADL maintain this is an anti Semite slur: “The cost to the consumer for this service is a minuscule fraction of the total production overhead; it is so negligible in practical terms as to be virtually non-existent. A May 18, 1975 New York Times article reported that the cost to General Foods’ “Bird’s Eye” Unit, for example, is 6.5 millionths (.0000065) of a cent per item. Furthermore, a representative of the Heinz Company has said that the per item cost is “so small we can’t even calculate it,” and that such labeling actually makes products less costly by increasing the market for them.”
Over the past few years I have contacted some food producers and/or distributors with some questions regarding the kosher symbols which appear on their packaging. Some of the replies were rather surprising and very informative. Here are a few examples:
I wrote to a local maple syrup producer asking them why they agreed to have their products ‘kosher certified’. The answer was very honest:
”If we did not have a kosher symbol on our products, the food retailers would refuse to put them on their shelves”
Did you say blackmail?
This is probably the biggest and the most ridiculous aberration. The day I discovered a kosher symbol ( KSR) on a package of bathroom tissue rolls ( toilet paper! ) it convinced me that this kosher certification was nothing but a money making racket.
An employee of the Leclerc Cookie Company candidly mentions the cost of the ‘kosher certification’ of their products at about 5 minutes of the video made by TVA: $25 000 / $30 000 annually plus other fees not mentioned. He also states that the food chains would not accept his products without a kosher certification! Definitely blackmail as far as I am concerned.
At about 6:40 minutes the Brasseur Transport Co. also admitted a cost of $35,000 plus additional costs of $15,000 to have their trucks ‘blessed’ by a rabbi.
The reporter does mention that most other companies refused to divulge their additional costs. Consequently, we will probably never find out the total cost of this whole ‘kosher certification’ business
The two examples should give us a good idea and if we multiply that by a few thousand other companies the revenues from this racket must be mind boggling.

Hillary Clinton’s “regime change” policies as Secretary of State helped spread the chaos that has turned the Middle East into a killing field and might have done even worse if not for extraordinary obstructions from the Pentagon’s Joint Chiefs of Staff regarding Syria, as Gareth Porter recounts at Middle East Eye.
Seymour Hersh’s recent revelations about an effort by the U.S. military leadership in 2013 to bolster the Syrian army against jihadist forces in Syria shed important new light on the internal bureaucratic politics surrounding regime change in U.S. Middle East policy. Hersh’s account makes it clear that the Obama administration’s policy of regime change in both Libya and Syria provoked pushback from the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).
That account and another report on a similar episode in 2011 suggest that the U.S. military has a range of means by which it can oppose administration policies that it regards as unacceptable. But it also shows that the military leadership failed to alter the course of U.S. policy, and raises the question whether it was willing to use all the means available to stop the funneling of arms to al-Nusra Front and other extremist groups in Syria.
Ousted Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi shortly before he was murdered on Oct. 20, 2011.
Hersh details a JCS initiative in the summer of 2013 to share intelligence on Islamic State and al-Qaeda organizations with other German, Russian and Israeli militaries, in the belief that the information would find its way to the Syrian army. Hersh reports that the military leadership did not inform the White House and the State Department about the “military to military” intelligence sharing on the jihadist forces in Syria, reflecting the hardball bureaucratic politics practiced within the national security institutions.
The 2013 initiative, approved by JCS chairman, General Martin Dempsey, was not the first active effort by the U.S. military to mitigate Obama administration regime change policies. In 2011, the JCS had been strongly opposed to the effort to depose the Muammar Gaddafi regime in Libya, a regime-change effort led by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
When the Obama administration began its effort to overthrow Gaddafi, it did not call publicly for regime change and instead asserted that it was merely seeking to avert mass killings that administration officials had suggested might approach genocidal levels. But the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), which had been given the lead role in assessing the situation in Libya, found no evidence to support such fears and concluded that it was based on nothing more than “speculative arguments.”
The JCS warned that overthrowing the Gaddafi regime would serve no U.S. security interest, but would instead open the way for forces aligned with al-Qaeda to take over the country. After the Obama administration went ahead with a NATO air assault against the Gaddafi regime the U.S. military sought to head off the destruction of the entire Libyan government.
General Carter Ham, the commander of AFRICOM, the U.S. regional command for Africa, gave the State Department a proposal for a ceasefire to which Gaddafi had agreed. It would have resulted in Gaddafi’s resignation but retain the Libyan military’s capacity to hold off jihadist forces and rescind the sanctions against Gaddafi’s family.
But the State Department refused any negotiation with Gaddafi on the proposal. Immediately after hearing that Gaddafi had been captured by rebel forces and killed, Clinton famously joked in a television interview, “We came, we saw, he died” and laughed.
By then the administration was already embarked on yet another regime change policy in Syria. Although Clinton led the public advocacy of the policy, then CIA Director David Petraeus, who had taken over the agency in early September 2011, was a major ally. He immediately began working on a major covert operation to arm rebel forces in Syria.
The CIA operation used ostensibly independent companies in Libya to ship arms from Libyan government warehouses to Syria and southern Turkey. These were then distributed in consultation with the United States through networks run by Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The plan went into operation within days of Gaddafi’s death on October 20, 2011, just before NATO officially ended its operation at the end of that month, as the DIA later reported to the JCS.
But the result of the operation was to accelerate the dominance of al-Qaeda and their Islamist allies. The Turks, Qataris and Saudis were funneling arms to al-Qaeda’s Syrian franchise, al-Nusra Front, or other closely related extremist groups. That should not have surprised the Obama administration. The same thing had happened in Libya in spring 2011 after the Obama administration had endorsed a Qatari plan to send arms to Libyan rebels. The White House had quickly learned that the Qataris had sent the arms to the most extremist elements in the Libyan opposition.
The original Petraeus covert operation ended with the torching of the U.S. consulate in Benghazi in September 2012 in which Ambassador Christopher Stevens was killed. It was superseded by a new program under which Qatar and Saudi Arabia financed the transfer of weapons from other sources that were supposed to be distributed in cooperation with CIA officials at a base in southern Turkey.
But “thousands of tons of weapons” were still going to groups fighting alongside the jihadists or who actually joined them as Vice President Joe Biden revealed in 2014.
By spring 2013, al-Nusra Front and its Islamic extremist allies were already in control of wide areas in the north and in the Damascus suburbs. The Islamic State had separated from al-Nusra Front and established its own territory south of the Turkish border. The secular armed opposition had ceased to exist as a significant force.
The “Free Syrian Army”, the nominal command of those forces, was actually a fiction within Syria, as was reported by specialists on the Syrian conflict. But despite the absence of a real “moderate opposition,” the Obama administration continued to support the flood of arms to the forces fighting to overthrow Assad.
In mid-2013, as Hersh recounts, the DIA issued an intelligence assessment warning that the administration’s regime change policy might well result in a repeat of what was already happening in Libya: chaos and jihadist domination. The JCS also pulled off a clever maneuver to ensure that the jihadists and their allies were getting only obsolete weapons. A JCS representative convinced the CIA to obtain much cheaper arms from Turkish stocks controlled by officials sympathetic to the CIA’s viewpoint on Syria.
But the JCS failed to alter the administration’s policy of continuing to support the flow of arms into Syria. Did the military leadership really use all of its leverage to oppose the policy?
In 2013, some officials on the U.S. National Security Council staff pushed for a relatively modest form of pressure on Qatar to get it to back off its continued supply of arms to extremists, including al-Nusra Front, by pulling out a U.S. fighter squadron from the U.S. air base at al-Udeid in Qatar. But as the Wall Street Journal reported earlier this year, the Pentagon, obviously reflecting the JCS position, vetoed the proposal, arguing that the forward headquarters of the Central Command at the airbase was “vital” to U.S. operations in the Middle East.
The political implications of the episode are clear: bureaucratic self-interest trumped the military’s conviction that U.S. security is being endangered. No matter how strongly the JCS may have felt about the recklessness of administration policy, they were not prepared to sacrifice their access to military bases in Qatar, Saudi Arabia or Turkey to pressure their Middle Eastern allies.
Cold and Hoping for Snacks: Officials Plan Power Cut to End Oregon Standoff
The armed militia camped out in a bird sanctuary in Oregon is on day three of their takeover, and they are already pleading with social media to send in snacks. Meanwhile federal authorities are reportedly planning to cut off their power supply amid sub-zero temperatures.
The dozen-or-so militia members have vowed to stay for “months” in protest of the imprisonment of two cattle ranchers, but federal authorities now plan to freeze them out.
“It’s in the middle of nowhere,” an unnamed official told the Guardian regarding the US Park Service’s plan to cut the power. “And it’s flat-ass cold up there.”
The move would certainly escalate the situation, and the right-wing militia have repeatedly claimed that they are willing to die there, and go out shooting if need be.
“After they shut off the power, they’ll kill the phone service,” the official added. “Then they’ll block all the roads so that all those guys have a long, lonely winter to think about what they’ve done.”
On Tuesday, snowstorms were expected to begin and the temperature is expected to plummet to a freezing —8F by evening.
Ammond Bundy, one of the occupying militia members and son of Cliven Bundy, told Raw Story “we’re ready and waiting if the power should be shut down.”
The group has claimed that they are prepared to tough it out “for months,” but during a tour of the site, the Guardian noted that they have enough food for a few weeks — at best.
The newspaper described their inventory as having apples and oranges, a few dozen pots of instant ramen, 24 cans of chicken noodle soup, a similar number of cans of sweetcorn, peas, beans and chili, 20 boxes of macaroni and cheese, three sacks of potatoes, one bag of flour, another of rolled oats, boxes of raisins, a single bag of pretzels and one granola bar.
This likely explains why members of the group have been taking to social media to beg for supporters to send them snacks.
“Things we could use: cold weather socks, snacks, energy drinks, equipment for cold weather, snow camo, gear, anything you think will help. Thank you all for the support,” Blaine Cooper wrote on Facebook on behalf of Jon Ritzheimer.
It sounds like Ammon Bundy’s claim to the Oregonian that they were prepared to stay “for years,” if necessary, may have been a slight exaggeration.
