Democrat Ray Nagin, former mayor of New Orleans, is now a convicted felon. He was found guilty this morning on 20 of 21 counts of felony. Nagin came under fire while mayor of the city during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 for not following the city’s plan in the case of emergency. As the flood waters were rising, Nagin did not send school buses for evacaution purposes as per city emergency protocol.
